“Bismillah (In the name of God)”

When we think of doing something amazing, rarely prayer comes to mind. As we are approaching the end of Ramadan, we are told that the last ten nights are very important. Also, one of the odd number nights 21, 23, 25, 27,29 is very important.

Why is that night important?

Here’s is how Allah (God) encourage us to strive for that night:

“1. We sent it down on the Night of Decree.

2. But what will convey to you what the Night of Decree is?

3. The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

4. In it descend the angels and the Spirit, by the leave of their Lord, with every command.

5. Peace it is; until the rise of dawn.” (97:1-5)

Imagine praying on a night that is better than a thousand months.  How wonderful it would be. Can you feel the excitement of that night?

Ramadan is a time to do our best to please Allah (God) by fasting and sincerely trying to control all our urges during fasting hours. Let’s work sincerely to “Reconnect & Rely on Allah (God).”

Ask yourself

  1. How can I prepare for this blessed night?
  2. What do I want to achieve?
  3. What do I want to pray for?

Prayer

Oh, my Lord, let me be one of the lucky people who stand before you in prayer on this glorious night and teach me how to make You the center of my life and world. Ameen
